That's a relief.
If it's any comfort, it wasn't just a "good time" for me. I got my share of stomach aches during the time we were together. Love is situated in the stomach, but not in the way the old cliché would have it. Food has little to do with it, nervousness a lot. When you fall in love your stomach aches, when you're lovesick your stomach aches, when you fall out of love,
your stomach aches. Hard to know where the heart got its reputation. The only
recognizable feeling in that region is heartburn.
Judging by my stomach, I was more involved with you than I admitted. But I had
commitments, I had to go back.
Can you understand that?
